In celebration of Pride Month, the Islip Arts Council invited queer artists to speak of their own experiences navigating this world as themselves, especially in the current reactionary climate in which we live. We aim to challenge the often negative narratives faced by queer people, and to humanize them, lift them up, and embrace their identities through presenting their artwork and giving them a voice.
