FEB 2023 / FLIGHT: The Immersion Project

From February 15 – March 11, 2023, IAC presented a black box theater project entitled FLIGHT: THE IMMERSION PROJECT at the South Shore Mall. This immersive experience, designed for 2023 Black History Month highlighted the history of flight and the bravery of the Tuskegee Airmen (TAI) and Martin Luther King, Jr. The compelling history was creatively presented through images, videos and voices of narration, clips from interviews with some Tuskegee Airmen, as well as participation by other black leaders. The story of African Americans and their historic journey has helped strengthen the American Story and IAC is proud to share this journey with the public through art.

We would like to thank the contributing artists to FLIGHT: THE IMMERSION PROJECT who passionately embraced the project, Reynard Burns, Composer & Historian; Waldo Cabrera, Videographer; Sean Fitzthum, Photographer; Rico Ford, Visual Artist; Andrea M. Gordon, Photographer; Larissa Judd, Visual Artist; Missy Longo-Lewis, Visual Artist & Educator; Chuck Moses, Producer & Director; Belinda Rubino, Graphic Artist & Photographer; Mark Strodl, Visual Artist & Photographer; and, Nancy Walsh, Visual Artist & Educator.
